Ha aparecido una muestra de ingeniería inédita del AMD Ryzen 9 5900X3D con 128 MB de caché L3 y un único chiplet 3D V-Cache. No es la primera vez que este procesador sale a la luz, pero las capturas de CPU-Z revelan una configuración distinta a la conocida hasta ahora. El modelo pertenece a la generación Zen 3 para AM4 y nunca llegó al mercado. Además, AMD canceló tanto el Ryzen 9 5900X3D como el Ryzen 9 5950X3D, y los únicos X3D de aquella generación que se comercializaron fueron los Ryzen 7 5800X3D y 5700X3D, y los Ryzen 5 5600X3D y 5500X3D.
