El HomeView de Apple identifica hasta a seis usuarios mediante la cámara Center Stage y el reconocimiento de voz, sin depender de Face ID. El primer hub doméstico de la compañía podrá mostrar también aplicaciones de audio y vídeo de terceros a través de un iPhone o un iPad conectado. Las apps de terceros llegan desde el iPhone o el iPad Apple recurre a un mecanismo parecido al de CarPlay. Al enlazar el HomeView con un iPhone o un iPad compatible, las aplicaciones de terceros aparecen en la interfaz del hub.
