Ubisoft ha dejado claro que Ubisoft Black Flag Resynced no es un remaster. El proyecto se presenta como un remake completo. Según el equipo, no se limita a subir resolución o a recompilar el juego para hardware nuevo. También llega con fecha: 9 de julio de 2026 en PS5, Xbox Series X|S y PC.
