Valve confirma una Steam Machine con un solo módulo DDR5


La Steam Machine DDR5 de Valve puede llegar con una memoria muy distinta según la unidad: algunas montan un solo módulo de 16 GB, y otras dos piezas de 8 GB. Digital Foundry ha señalado que el sistema que probó usa un único SO-DIMM DDR5-5600 de 16 GB, mientras Valve atribuye el cambio a la dificultad para conseguir módulos de 8 GB en cantidades suficientes para producción. El matiz importa porque cambia el modo de trabajo de la memoria. Un equipo con dos módulos entra en dual-channel; uno con un solo stick, en single-channel.
