Un desarrollador conocido como Day-OS ha creado GreenVita, un cliente homebrew que permite mover partidas de Xbox Cloud Gaming en una PS Vita de 2011. La aplicación que une Xbox Cloud Gaming con Xbox Game Pass Vita en el catálogo de la vieja portátil de Sony no emula ningún hardware: recibe el video y el audio en streaming y devuelve al servidor remoto las pulsaciones del mando. La propia GreenVita no exige Game Pass Ultimate en concreto, aunque Microsoft ofrece el acceso a la nube a través de varios planes de suscripción, y algunos títulos free-to-play solo piden una cuenta Microsoft gratuita.
